Below is a vacancy notice for three full-time Collective Bargaining Unit Attorney positions covered by the current Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Office of the State’s Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees.
All employees must complete mandatory cybersecurity awareness training by June 30, 2026. The training must be completed and certificates received by this day. If you previously completed the training and sent the certificate within this this calendar year, then you do not need to complete the process again until next calendar year.

Reasonable Doubt / Eye-witness Identification
The Supreme Court granted the State’s PLA to determine whether the appellate court erred by reversing the defendant’s conviction. The Supreme Court reversed and remanded to the appellate court, holding that the appellate court improperly (1) undermined the jury’s reasonable-doubt determination; and (2) utilized “eyewitness identification research” on appeal that had not been presented to the circuit court in reaching its judgement.

The State of Illinois' mileage reimbursement rate for the use of personal vehicles has increased from 70.0 cents per mile to 72.5 cents per mile effective January 1, 2026.
